The majority of our customers embed their maps on their websites. However, the experience when using an embedded map can sometimes be challenging especially on small mobile screens or when the area to embed the map is limited.
We are constantly looking at ways to improve the user experience for embedded maps.
We have released several improvements to enhance the customer experience for embedded maps.
Full Screen
You can now easily control when the map goes full screen with the first user interaction.
There are 4 different settings you can choose from.
We recommend enabling full screen on both desktop and mobile. On mobile, the full screen provides the user with an experience similar to a native App.

Embed Height
Our legacy embed code was setting the height of the embed in pixels. The default was 635px. As a result, the map height can be too small on the desktop, and on the other hand, the map would not fit on some mobile screens.
The new embed code sets the map height automatically based on the screen size (viewport). By default, it fills 90% of the screen height. You can easily change that value.
See this example where the map is set to fill 100% of the screen.
