Using advanced satellite imaging of the greater campus, their Texas Tech Athletics virtual campus map features clickable icons for the school’s various buildings, gyms, as well as other sites like running tracks and parks. Integrated into the map, Matterport 3D Tours offers prospective students a 3D walk-through of the world-class athletic facilities, as if they were physically touring the grounds.

How does the Mapme-Matterport integration work?
With the Mapme / Matterport integration, adding Matterport tours to your map is quick and easy. You simply copy/paste your Matterport Space URL into the Mapme editor, and we take care of the rest.
The integration is designed to deliver optimal user experience and performance.
In the list views, we automatically display image thumbnails of your Matterport 3D tours, so the list loads quickly and smoothly even if you’ve added a large number of tours to the map.
In each location detail view, we display the interactive version of the Matterport tours with a call to action to expand to full screen.
How to add Matterport 3D tours to your Mapme map
To add Matterport 3D models to your Mapme map, follow these steps:
- In your Matterport Cloud account, set the privacy settings for the Space to unlisted or public.
- Copy the share link (URL), it looks like this: https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=xxxxxxxxxxx
- In your Mapme editor, open the location for which you’d like to add the tour
- Click on Image, video, PDF, 3D tours, and then select Add new media or document
- Select Embed
- Paste the Matterport 3D tour URL
To optimize the user experience, we recommend adding the parameter to autoplay the 3D tour: &play=1
