The map displays over 1,000 registered events from across the globe. It organizes them into nine regions: North America, South America, Central America, Mexico, Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, Asia, and Oceania. Cluster pins group nearby events at higher zoom levels. As users zoom in, the clusters expand into individual event locations. This lets visitors explore both the global scale and the local detail of the campaign.

Visitors can filter events by region, type, month, and year. A casual birdwatcher can find a nearby walk. A school coordinator can plan a classroom activity. A program director can track year-over-year growth. Mapme’s category filters turn a large global dataset into a personal, navigable experience for each user.
Crowdsourced Event Registration Built Into the Map
A “Register Your Event” button sits directly in the map panel. Organizations and individuals click it to submit their own WMBD events. Those events then appear on the map for the public to discover. This crowdsourcing feature makes the map grow richer every year. It also reinforces community ownership of the conservation mission.
