How to manually adjust a pin position on the map?

When you add locations to your map, you don’t always have an exact address to search for. Let’s take the example of an event that takes place in a park. How do you place the markers for activities spread out through the park?

Adjust the position of the marker in the preview

  • Start by entering an address close by. For example, the name of a park or a street address in the area.
  • In the location editor, select “Marker position and map view”.
  • Click on the map preview and move the map until the center of the map is in the correct location.

You might need to zoom in on the map in order to find the exact position you want to place the marker.

When you are done placing the marker, you can also set the view for the location (zoom level, 3D effect, and rotation). We recommend using the same value for all locations.

Enter the latitude and longitude

Sometimes, you might have the exact coordinates for the marker. You can then simply enter the lat and long in the search field. The format is “lat, long”. For example: 41.965028, -93.422310
