How to Manage Layers on Your Map

The Layers list provides tools to organize, find, and manage layers on your map. You can reorder layers, select one or multiple layers, perform bulk actions, and quickly find layers by name.

Select Layers

Click a layer in the list to select it and access the available actions. To select multiple layers, simply click on additional layers.

Click a selected layer again to deselect it.

Reorder Layers

Drag layers up or down in the list to change their display order.

For overlay layers, layers higher in the list are displayed above layers below them on the map.

3D object layers like 3D buildings do not participate in overlay display order and are always displayed above overlays.

Bulk Actions

Select multiple layers to apply the same action to all of them at once.

Available bulk actions include:

  • Hide: Hide all selected layers without deleting them.
  • Duplicate: Create copies of the selected layers.
  • Delete: Permanently remove the selected layers.

Show or Hide Layers

Hide a layer when you want to temporarily remove it from the map without deleting it.

Hidden layers remain in the Layers list and appear greyed out, making them easy to identify and show again later.

Search Layers

Use the Search button to find layers by name. This is especially useful for maps containing many layers.

Manage Individual Layers

Depending on the layer type, you can also:

  • Zoom to the layer
  • Edit its settings
  • Show or hide it
  • Duplicate it
  • Delete it
